..ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT GOD LOVES YOU
A. REALIZATION OF SINFULNESS
One - You must realize you are a sinner.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
"If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." I John 1:10
Two - You must realize you can't save yourself.
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, hut according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost." Titus 3:5
Three - You must realize that Jesus Christ came into the world and gave His life to save sinners."For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners: of whom I am chief." I Timothy 1:15
B. CONFESSION THAT CHRIST IS LORD
One - You must confess (tell) your sins to God who alone has power to save and to cleanse from sin through the blood of Jesus.
"I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgives the iniquity of my sin." Psalm 32:5
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I John 1:9
Two - You must call upon Jesus Christ in sincere and earnest prayer.
"And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name that will I do that the Father may be glorified in the Son." John 14:13
"And call upon me in the day of trouble I will deliver thee and thou shalt glorify me" Psalm 50:15
C. BELIEVING IN CHRIST
One - You must believe and by faith receive Jesus so He can control your life.
"Therefore I say unto you, whatsoever you desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:24
"But as many as received him, to them he gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." John 1:12
Two - Open your heart now, receive Jesus Christ, and take up your cross daily and follow Him. You are now a child of God, cleansed by the blood, and adopted into His family. All of your life has been affected
"Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature old things are passed away behold, all things are become new" (II Corinthians 5:17). You will want to keep close to the Father by reading the Bible, praying, and fellowshipping together with other Christians. Then you can walk daily with Jesus, and enjoy His presence and peace. "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid." John 14:27
PLEASE NOTE: Confession of your sins is not something you do just the one time or periodically. Whenever you sin, you should immediately repent [ask forgiveness from the Lord] and turn away from your sin.
